Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Incentives can play a significant role in encouraging class participation among students. When students are motivated to participate, they are more likely to engage in discussions, ask questions, and contribute to group activities. This can lead to a more dynamic learning environment where everyone benefits from diverse perspectives and experiences.
Incentives can take many forms, such as extra credit, or small rewards like stickers, snacks, or candy.
My students love edible rewards like chips, granola bars or crackers because it fulfills immediate gratification needs.
By providing students with incentives, educators can create a positive feedback loop where students feel more invested in their learning and are more likely to participate in future classes.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
