The population that I serve are special education resource students. Learning can be significantly more difficult for these students than their typical peers. The items that I have chosen will help my students to better perform in the classroom.
Many of my students struggle with learning which then results in negative attitudes towards the academic tasks and increased behaviors.
In order to better help our students learn, we have implemented two behavioral motivations which include smiley cards and free time.
Students can earn smileys based off of their behavior during their learning time. Their smiley cards can then be turned in for a prize at the end of the week. I have added many prizes to this project in order to keep our selection stocked and motivating for the students.
We also allow the students to earn free time at the end of the week based on how well they worked in their groups. I have added some games to this project in order to better supply our students with games to play during this time as well as learn some skills to play with peers.
