This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is to decorate our bare classroom with motivational and inspirational messages and purchase additional science materials for our science classes especially our special ed resource science classes. We just moved into this building last year. We would like to purchase additional science materials for classroom demonstrations including items like a giant black balloon to demonstrate thermodynamics and Bernoulli's principle, a bog kit to have a living and changing ecosystem inside our classroom, and a chemistry molecular kit for manipulatives to demonstrate chemical equations and balancing. Items like inspirational stickers or posters may seem silly but kids really appreciate it! You'd be amazed how little presents like that can bond teachers to students and help them feel accepted and loved. Finally, we need additional paper towels and disinfectant wipes to keep our students and staff clean and safe!
