Help me give my students books at a lower reading level to help them access good books in Spanish. With good reading material, students will be more motivated to read and thus improve in their reading levels.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students this year have lower reading levels in Spanish than previous years. They don't all have a love of reading and in order to improve their reading skills, they need books that they are excited to read. My students are very capable and just need practice. This group had both COVID to deal with as well as a difficult learning year in 4th grade. I want to help them get excited with new titles and books that will be exciting for them at a 2nd and 3rd grade reading level. These books will help my students build their reading levels in Spanish.
