Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a teacher in a high poverty school district, I know my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Most of my students are being raised in single-parent households. Despite the many challenges, every child enjoys coming to school to learn.

My students are sponges!

They are engaged and work hard every day! They like to create and use their imagination. They are eager to reach their individual goals. They are excited to become readers and writers.

My Project

These motivational materials will continue to enhance the student positive learning at our school. Our school store is a place that students really enjoy! Students earn points for positive behaviors that focus on self respect, respect for others and the environment. Students learn to be responsible and take accountability for their actions and help others to do the same. Each student is a part of this positive learning community.

With the fidget toys, sports equipment and fun pencils, students will be able to choose from a variety that will allow them to be rewarded!
