Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My studious 2nd grade scholars are currently attending school in a hybrid model. My students are both English Language Learners and students whose first language is English, they show up eager to learn each day. They enjoy reading diverse books and participating in hands on stem activities.
Teaching the youth of today is very exciting…Soon, the youth, will be our leaders of tomorrow.
I enjoy teaching them things that will make them successful in the future. My students come from a hard hit economic community but rise to the challenges put before them each day.
My Project
My students have been working extremely hard in a hybrid model. We use Class Dojo to track behavior, acts of kindness, completed work, etc. Students are rewarded for their class dojo points.
These stickers, vinyl to personalize their belongings and coloring sheets will motivate my students to strive to be the best they can be.
Students will color the motivational quotes coloring pages and we can rotate them in a frame displayed in the front of our classroom for #motivationmonday. Students may choose to have the teacher cut a quote or their name from vinyl to decorate their chromebook covers, class hoodies and other materials. Students will have pride as they take ownership of their items.
