My Students
My students love to read, but our classroom and library does not have the books that our students are interested in. Our students love reading graphic novels. The students are motivated to read and we can't keep the few that we have on the shelves.
Our students are growing up in a lower income area.
The goal of our school is to provide our students with the mind set, resources, and education to be the change for themselves! Our students face many challenges everyday and we strive to make their school their home away from home!
My students are extremely motivated to learn. They are creative thinkers and love displaying their learning through art and projects rather than worksheets! We are a large school in a lower income area. Our school is designed around making them comfortable and giving them a feeling of home and safety. Our school is equipped with a dining room and grade level living rooms to accomplish this goal. We strive to help our students become the best they can possibly be and to find the true value of their education.
My Project
Providing our classrooms with graphic novels will inspire and motivate our children to read and write based on their graphic novels. The students truly enjoy reading this genre of fiction! They become so involved in the stories and have such wonderful conversations with their classmates about the books. Graphic novels help our students LOVE TO READ!!
This projects is extremely important to our third graders!
They are so interested in these graphic novel series and we simply do not have very many of them available for checkout in our classrooms and school library. They are very popular and hard to get their hands on. These types of books motivate our students and help them develop positive reading habits! They are using these books to improve their reading skills and strategies for comprehension. We appreciate your support of learning.
