it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It's not as easy to keep students focused and behaving properly as it was years ago. Today, it takes inviting incentive programs to keep students on track and behaving appropriately in the classroom. Positive reinforcement is what is needed to do just that!
My students are 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in a high poverty town in Illinois.
We are a middle school of approximately 1,100 students and keeping ALL of them on track and behaving appropriately can be a challenge. Our school has incorporated a "blue check" incentive program for students. However, they need to have something to "buy" with those checks!
My Project
A positive behavior incentive program is what we need to keep students behaving and in the classroom--not in the office. This blue check incentive program rewards positive behaviors in those who struggle to maintain appropriate behavior. We need to keep students in the classroom, so learning can take place. If students are in the office because of poor behavior, they are not learning.
Please give us the chance to offer our students some items that will inspire them to behave and want to earn those blue checks!
The more students we can engage with this program, the more students are learning...and thus performing better in the classroom.
