My Project

Please help my students get flexible seating for their music classes!

I am a K-12 music teacher in rural Alaska and I have observed many of my students needing a wiggle break during direct instruction or needing a stool or place to sit during our instrument playing time in class.

I am requesting a classroom set of stackable stools and a music rug to help make my classroom more accessible to my learners who need to move and sit in certain ways to be successful learners. We do a lot of movement activities in our music class, but there are also times when I need to deliver direct instruction on concepts. I want my students to be able to use the flexible seating to ensure that they are comfortable and their basic physical needs are met - this will help them be motivated musicians! I also have several students who have IEPs who may need these flexible seating options to use during the whole class time.
