My Project
I teach a vibrant and resilient group of students at a high-needs urban elementary school, where over 90% of our students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Our classroom is a beautiful mix of cultures, languages, and experiences, and my students come to school each day with energy, curiosity, and an eagerness to grow—despite the many challenges they face outside the classroom.
Many of my students benefit from additional support to help them stay focused, self-regulate emotions, and stay motivated throughout the day.
A combination of fidget tools and prize box incentives can make a powerful difference in keeping them engaged and celebrating their hard work.
