Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I currently serve students in a Title I school, with over 75% of students on free or reduced lunch. As we approach the new school year, whether in school or virtually, my students will need access to quality interactive learning materials.

My Project

These teacher-made materials will keep my students engaged while learning virtually. With these funds I will purchase motivating, fun, engaging activities to supplement core subject area curriculum. Teacher Pay Teachers offers quality materials made by real teachers that have put them into practice in real classrooms.

In this age of distance learning, engaging, motivating and interactive teaching tools are necessary for teachers to be able to reach each child where they are, academically and physically.

First grade is a critical year for reading development and these materials will help me to reach each child's potential during these challenging times. These materials will be used at home by students to reinforce skills taught through a digital platform. I will also be purchasing engaging digital lessons for students that need extra assistance with specific reading and math skills. My goal is to make virtual learning as engaging as it is in the face to face classroom. Boom Cards, Powerpoints and other digital materials will assist me in giving all I can to my students in this distance learning environment.
