Help me give my students books, intervention tools, reading materials, a dry erase board for our new literacy program, and rewards to keep them motivated and help them reach their reading goals!

My Project

I am so excited to create this literacy project for my third grade class! I have so many struggling readers this year that I want to increase my class library with books that will be more appealing to all of my students. I also need additional intervention materials so I can better support my ML students.

My goal for this project is to increase the love of reading in my classroom!

I want to motivate my students with rewards for reaching their reading goals, and I want to have books available to them that are on their reading level. I plan to work with my students in small intervention groups so I can help them develop better decoding, comprehension, and vocabulary skills, and foster an overall love of learning!

I am also excited to have another large whiteboard in the classroom that my students can use during our new literacy program. This will help with small group instruction and also when my students are working in small groups and need a space to record their "notice" and "wonders" about a story we are reading.
