My Project
My students are an amazing group of kids who come in daily eager to improve their math skills. My students miss out on other more desirable elective options in order to attend the math study skills classroom so that they can become better in math and meet their end of the year math state testing goal.
My students essentially attend two math classes a day in order to improve their math skills and state testing scores.
My students work harder, study longer, and push themselves to be the best they can be when they are motivated by the activities we are doing in class. Seeing them grow in their understanding of math is a joy for me everyday. My students are an inspiration to me!
My Project
School supplies, interactive hands on games, and incentives may seem like a simple request, but for my students it means the world. By having these things my students are motivated to learn math in a tangible and hands-on way.
My students are highly competitive when we play math review games like Kahoot, Gimkit, and Blooket. The students will work to improve their math percentages in order to receive the smallest of rewards like a piece of candy. A little friendly competition and the interaction they have when they play games with partners and teams helps them stay interested in becoming better at math day by day.
This project would provide incentives for my students, the best Teacher’s Pay Teachers hands-on games and activities, and the materials to make the group games, centers, and printable math resources for my students.
