My Students

The majority of my students come from low, socio-economic backgrounds and 85% qualify for free/reduced price school lunch.

My diverse class of kindergarteners represent a plethora of cultures and linguistic backgrounds and all of them have something special to share with us.

My students are: Latino, Arabic, Vietnamese, Filipino, Nepali, African American, Italian, Filipino/Caucasian/Cambodian, and American Indian/Caucasian.

They are all energetic and eager learners in our Kindergarten classroom. We are learning to be safe, responsible, and respectful in our classroom and school!

My Project

The read aloud and sight word books will motivate us to enjoy listening to different genres of books and also learn to read and recognize our sight words.

The journey to reading and creating personal art projects are so important in our Kindergarten classroom and we look forward to enjoying them on a daily basis.

The colorful and practical art supplies (colored paper, tape, laminating pouches, Velcro dots, markers, and chalk) will provide us with a variety of materials to create unique art projects. The supplies will let us frame our photographs and classwork, help label our classroom bins, and also make publishing our written stories stand out and look interesting!
