My Students

Our 5th-grade classroom of elementary students consist of culturally different backgrounds in a school that has over 900 students. We are located in a suburb of a major, capital city in an HOA community. This group of students also includes students with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

The students are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative.

Some have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that requires positive motivation to help them be successful in a mainstream classroom. Having a gentle reminder without others in the classroom being aware is beneficial to these students.

My Project

Students who struggle with staying focused or have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) can be gently reminded to refocus with this vibration reminder wristband tool. Every few minutes it will slightly buzz in their pocket or on their wrist to remind them to get back on task.

With a classroom of 30 students, it is difficult for the teacher to be able to provide one-on-one attention and to remind students to stay on track.

This small device is not intrusive and can do the job without alerting other students in the classroom. The student wearing the device can be successful.
