It is important to tell a child how well they are doing. It is also important to have visual information in front of them while learning. I want to give my students the best education they can get.
My group of third grade students try hard, they appreciate what they get, and they want to succeed in what they do.
I want to help them do this by getting them focused, motivated and ready for the future. They deserve the best, and the more materials that are offered in the classroom, they better off they will be.
My Project
I am requesting motivation items such as a chime, tidy-desk notes, and various reading posters. I am also requesting pocket folders which would help each student a great deal during writing time. These folders would help keep their thoughts and ideas organized. I am also requesting 'people-sticks' so I can fairly call on a student to do specific assignments. All of these materials would be very beneficial in my classroom and make for a better learning environment. I have seen the chime used before in classrooms, and the students really know that when they hear it, it is time to focus and pay attention.
