Motion Capture Our Imagination!

My students need supplies to create a motion activated camera for detecting wildlife in the school forest.

My Students

Students in my classroom are grades 6-8 and are from the whole student population. We are interested in learning and expanding our knowledge of Technology and Engineering. We do this through a wide variety of projects in our Woods lab and Engineering lab.

Our students come into Tech Ed with varied backgrounds and with different sets of skills.

They are great at figuring out what problems are and coming up with new and varied solutions for them. The Tech Ed courses are ones of collaboration and teamwork.

My Project

Students will get to learn how to use micro controller boards for DIY projects. They will learn how to program and interface so that it accomplishes their designated task.

There is no end to the possibility of projects that can be completed with micro controller boards.

Students will see how different sensors can be attached and changed on the micro controller board.

We will be designing a motion activated camera to be placed in the school forest and hopefully catch action shots of wildlife as they pass through. We are combining high-end technology and our love of the school forest!
