About My Students

My current yearbook class is a wonderful mix of high school-aged students. These students - Alma, Eryn, Rosemary, Christal, Heidi, Vanessa, Jayda, and Ivy - are deeply engaged in the process of producing a high-quality yearbook for their peers.

The end of my day is always a fabulous one because I know it ends with my yearbook staff excitedly working together. The returning staff gladly assists the new staff members, and I get to advise the production of our yearbook with a smile. The scanner would make this process even better.

The yearbook staff will use the scanner for the completion of the yearbook pages. The students need a scanner to scan senior portraits, senior baby pictures, dedication pictures, congratulatory pictures, and business ads.

The production of the yearbook is an excellent training tool for experiencing real life deadlines and demands.

In Their Own Words

We need a scanner to stay consistent with the quality of our yearbook. Unfortunately, our school doesn’t have the resources to fund a new scanner. We need a scanner to scan senior portraits, senior baby pictures, dedication pictures, congratulatory pictures, and business ads. If we don’t have a scanner we will not be able to scan many of our photographs to use them.

We enjoyed collaborating together to complete this request. Instead of relying on our teacher to complete the project we used our class time to brainstorm the ideas. It was also great because half the class continued to work on pages, and the rest of us worked on developing this plan.

The quality in our yearbook will improve and we will learn important life skills from the methods we utilized to acquire a scanner. This project has demanded that work together, brainstorm, and gain support from our community. Finally, we will use the scanner with pride for many years to come.
