My Project
I am requesting funding to acquire the complete "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" manga series for our school library. This acclaimed series by Koyoharu Gotouge has become a global phenomenon, appealing to a wide range of readers. Its engaging narrative, rich character development, and stunning artwork make it an excellent addition to our library collection. "Demon Slayer" follows the journey of Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who fights demons while searching for a cure for his sister, who has been turned into a demon herself. The themes of perseverance, compassion, and teamwork resonate strongly with young readers, promoting valuable life lessons.
Adding this series to our library will encourage reluctant readers to engage with literature and foster an interest in graphic novels and storytelling.
Manga has been shown to improve literacy skills by offering a blend of text and visual elements, making it accessible for students at different reading levels.
By providing this popular series, I aim to create a more inclusive library that reflects the diverse interests of our students, inspiring a love for reading and enriching our library’s offerings.
