This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The world around us is full of art. We often see art as paintings, digital edits, comic books, etc. But we hardly see art from indigenous times. Things like mosaic tiles are arranged to create beautiful works of art.
This project will take students out of their authentic way of seeing art and challenge them to create art using various materials to bring alive artwork they are not used to.
We will be using mosaic tiles, grout, cutting tools, and wood boards to create mosaic art pieces that we can use to beautify our campus with artwork from indigenous people.
