This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need a soft start to their academic day with hands on activites. The magnetic letters, the crafting popsicle sticks, pom-poms and dice will be part of our mornig tubs that are designed to provide my students with hands on activites that will combine academic and fine-motor skills.
Some students come into my classroom needing a safe, comforting place to go when they’re feeling overwhelmed or upset—or they simply just need a break!
The morning tubs for our soft opening along with the cozy calming tent will provide a bit of privacy as children self-soothe and get ready to start their learning.
