Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

While some kids wake up and hit the ground running, others need to ease into their day. While some kids are energized by constant activity, others need a quiet break to feel recharged. The library can be a wonderful spot for our students to take a break when the playground feels overwhelming.

These yoga mats and activities will help to provide an alternative for students who would like to quietly recharge while still getting their bodies moving during recess.

There will also be opportunities in the mornings for students to use the library for mindfulness, meditation, and movement.

A quiet spot in the morning can help students prepare to focus in the classroom throughout the day.
