Morning Meeting Read Aloud's Begin Our Day With Excitement!

Help me give my students a daily read-aloud that follow our morning meeting. Each book title was selected to support our monthly theme such as Building a Community and Growth Mindset!

My Project

The best way to begin a kindergartener's day is with a read-aloud. This practice sets a positive tone for the day, engaging students’ minds and preparing their bodies for learning. Reading aloud not only fosters a love for reading but also introduces the excitement of storytelling, encouraging students to become lifelong readers.

Additionally, read-alouds build foundational skills such as phonemic awareness, vocabulary development, and comprehension.

They also assist children in acclimating to the classroom environment, helping them understand the routines and expectations of the day. My students arrive eager to learn, and incorporating these books enhances their learning experience from the very first day of class.
