My Students

I teach 20 kindergarten students at a kindergarten through second grade school. My students are curious, imaginative and eager to learn. They are like little sponges, always ready to soak in new knowledge and information! Being their teacher is an incredible blessing!

Along with their love for learning, my students are also full of energy.

They love to dance, wiggle and participate in hands-on learning activities. Opportunities that incorporate both learning and movement help my students reach their potential in learning.

My Project

To support my energetic students, I am asking for 6 more wobble stools. This donation will help my energetic students continue to learn as they wiggle and move comfortably. As of right now we only have 6 wobble stools in our classroom. This means only 6 students can wiggle while they learn and everyone else has to sit in chairs or stools that are completely stationary. This new addition would give over half of my class the option to use a type of seat that allows for movement.

These wobble stools will be strategically placed at my teacher assistant's table, so each student can use them twice a day during both literacy and math small group instruction.

We already have 6 wobble stools at my kidney table that the students get to use during literacy and math small group instruction, so this would double the amount of time each student gets to use a seating option that allows for movement! During other parts of our day, these stools will be out as a flexible seating option for students who need to wiggle as they work. I am so excited to be able to give my students an incredible tool to help them continue to learn and grow!
