My Students
I currently work with a group of high school students on the autism spectrum in Houston, Texas. My students are very creative and are tech savvy. Despite the challenges they face on an everyday basis, I am looking to provide my students with challenging, fun and meaningful learning experiences.
My school is a Title I school with a large percentage of my students coming from under-served neighborhoods.
My students are amazing learners who LOVE technology and the creativity that it allows!
My Project
The materials requested will allow our students the freedom to think outside the box...to dream and to be inspired. The OSMO Learning Game System would allow our students the ability to explore this new innovative technology that actively engages and expands their learning process.
The OSMO system will spark their imaginations, help them learn critical skills, while having fun.
The iPads will allow us to utilize the vast variety of games, tools, and resources. My students will also be able to use the iPads to access apps that differentiate their learning in an engaging way. My focus is to expose and teach hands-on technical skills that my students will be able to use post-graduation. These materials will motivate and encourage my students to go that extra mile to learn.
