Help me give my students outdoor and gym equipment! - I work at a school that doesn't provide a typical gym class. The ball closet has only a handful of balls. I know they would appreciate this!!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a public charter school located in El Cerrito, California. My school serves predominately low income students from various diverse backgrounds and cultures. Currently the middle school does not have a library, a PE class, or an art program. These are both things I want to implement this year. My students deserve the opportunity to explore their identities through self expression and explore other worlds through the text they read! I feel honored to serve such a creative, compassionate, and curious group of kids!
My Project
Once a week we are headed outside for 40 minutes of movement! We have been having to get real creative due to the lack of equipment! Sharks and Minnows can only be played so many times before students start asking for more skill based games!
I believe it is important for young people to engage in exercise as they begin to for life long health habits!
Student love to play basketball during free play! Unfortunately our ball closet is a little sparse and many balls are too worn to hold air. Help us add a few more basketballs to our ball closet!!
