My Project
I love the way kindergarteners get down on the ground and play. They love to lie on their bellies to read, write and play. The texture is extremely important to their learning process. They need to be out of their seats working with partners, exploring the classroom, and feeling cozy and safe.
A classroom carpet is more than a rug.
Carpeting actually helps to reduce the unnecessary sounds and echoes within a classroom which actually improves learning. Loud noises can impact the learning of some students. Carpets also give a sense of warmth and coziness to a classroom. It physically makes a classroom warmer, as well as, adds an additional place of learning for students and teachers.
