My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. I want to introduce them to ALL types of ART and different ways to express themselves. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet.

My Project
Having the Projector will allow for the document camera to present itself on the screen. Our school has very little technology equipment, and we have recently have had a loss in the projector world. When the document camera and projector are synced, students will be able to look at the screen and see real life time art techniques on the screen. Another way they will be doing art in my classroom, is by using the camera and experiencing photography first hand. While using a camera it is always nice to have a computer to downloaded images and teach the students to edit their own images.
My project will make a difference because these students are the digital natives, and will need to be introduced to other areas of art.
Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more, and continue my drive to use the previous purchased equipment from my past donors choose project.
