My students need 12 sets of colored crayons, a pack of colored pencils, and an external hard drive to save their activities on for interactive notebook activities.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Interacting keeps us engaged. Students learn by doing. When students DO, they are not only exercising their brains, but they are retaining information.
I teach at a wonderful school that is full of great students.
Many of my students need to stay active to retain information that is taught. They get excited when they have the opportunity to play a game, construct a project, and/or work with classmates on assignments.
My Project
The crayons, colored pencils, and external hard drive that I am requesting are for the students' interactive notebooks. The purpose of the interactive notebooks is to enable students to be creative, independent thinkers and writers. The notebooks call for color for note taking and/or coloring items on pages that have been printed off to add to the notebooks. This is where the crayons and colored pencils come in. For some parts of the notebooks we need to print off the pages to add to the books. Having an external hard drive will give us a place to save our activities that need to be printed off, since we don't have much space to store papers.
This project is important because it consists of necessary materials that will assist the students in continuing to work on their awesome interactive notebooks.
The students are enjoying working in their notebooks and adding new entries. These notebooks will continue to improve my classroom by keeping my students engaged with each activity.
