This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The specific items I am requesting—stress balls and fidget toys—will help my students by giving them tools to manage stress and stay focused during class. Many of my students face academic pressure and personal challenges that can make it difficult for them to concentrate. Stress balls and fidget toys provide a simple, effective way for them to release nervous energy, reduce anxiety, and maintain focus on their lessons. These small tools are especially helpful for students who struggle with attention issues, helping them channel their energy productively without disrupting the learning environment. By incorporating these sensory items into the classroom, I hope to create a space where students feel calm, supported, and ready to engage.

The goal of this project is to improve my students' overall learning experience by giving them the resources they need to manage their emotional and mental well-being.

When students feel less stressed, they are more likely to be engaged, attentive, and motivated to succeed. I want to create a classroom environment where every student feels comfortable and supported, regardless of their learning style or challenges.

What makes my students special is their resilience and eagerness to learn despite the many obstacles they face. Many of them come from low-income backgrounds and face daily struggles that go beyond the classroom. Despite these challenges, they show up every day ready to learn and grow. They deserve every possible tool to help them succeed, and I believe these stress-relieving items will make a real difference in their ability to focus and thrive. Your support will help them feel more confident and capable as they work toward their academic goals.
