Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout the day, students share how they are hungry and have headaches due to them missing breakfast, which makes it difficult for them to learn. These snacks will allow me to give students snacks throughout the school year so that they can focus on their learning.

Snacks have also been a way to build stronger relationships with students since it is a way to show I care.

It always brings a smile to students' faces when I offer them a snack when their energy level is low. They always appreciate this small gesture.

When students have come to visit in between classes, or before or after school, offering a student a snack has always been a way to break the ice, boost their mood, and lower their stress level. It is essential to their physical and emotional health.
