Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am an 8th grade science teacher in a high needs area, low socio-economic status, with an extremely diverse area with multiple languages present.

As teachers with intense science backgrounds, we are hoping to develop curriculum and technology to assist in our students in taking on the role of scientists. We will be utilizing the binders to help students utilize skills in keeping their research and materials organized to prevent error during experiments. This will assist the students in better understanding and utilizing the process of scientific investigation that scientists use.

We will be using three-ring binders to organize class material and help keep data and research within reach. We will be using the binders to store personal science vocabulary dictionaries, experiment plans and practice, and research into topic of scientific interest.

You will make it possible for students in an urban school district to experience the proper use of materials in organizing vocabulary, research, and experiments as well as improve organizational and study skills in the topics of science.
