My Students

Our school is a large, diverse school composed of students in grades 6-8. My students consist of over 100 students in 5 different classes. They are a kind, caring, and intelligent group of 8th graders who come from a variety of different backgrounds and ethnicities. They are hard working, fun, and creative!

My students are a hard working group of kids, but they often lack the supplies and resources they need, especially to complete their work at home.

As their teacher, I want to help provide each student with the opportunity to complete all of their work both in school and at home, by supplying them with all necessary items, even if that means allowing them to take them home.

My Project

Language Arts can be a difficult subject for many of my students. For those who struggle with reading and writing, it can be even more challenging to keep them engaged and excited about learning.

My goal with the Versatiles, work books, and Scope magazines is to provide my students with a variety of resources that are both educational and highly engaging.

The Versatiles will provide my students hands-on practice with grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension based activities. The work books will allow me to meet all of my students' unique learning needs through lessons that vary in content and difficulty. The Scope magazines will help me incorporate current events and relevant information into our daily curriculum. Together, all of these resources will help keep my classroom engaging while providing me with a variety of resources to teach the necessary skills.
