Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My energetic second graders love recess, where they can play, socialize, and enjoy a break from classroom learning. However, our recess supplies are limited, and I’d love to offer my students more options that encourage teamwork, creativity, and physical activity.
Adding equipment like soccer balls, bubbles, and toss games will create new opportunities for active play and cooperative games, helping students to develop social skills and enjoy a fun, safe, and engaging recess.
Additionally, I’m seeking funding for a collection of read-aloud books. These stories will foster a love of reading and introduce my students to diverse characters and experiences. I carefully choose stories that spark discussions, build empathy, and inspire young minds, and your support will ensure we have a variety of engaging books to share together.
