This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My environmental science students often ask what and how they can help to make a difference. Often they learn the "why" we got where we are today in my class, but they want to know the "how". They ask, "How can we do better Miss?"
This book is a great way to help them understand impactful ways they can help to reduce climate change and give their generation a fighting chance.
After having read this book I see so many questions answered and helping them see that our modern lifestyle can use an overhaul. My students are caring, empathetic, and determined to do better than generations past and I know this book can help them do better.
As Maya Angelou said, "Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." With this book, I know it will help us get there.
