This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with elementary special education students with a variety of disabilities. Many of them need different options for what they need for a good "workspace." They have sensory, emotional, or physical needs that can make working at a typical student desk and chair challenging for them.
These comfy floor seats offer alternatives for students who often like to sit up front, or like to sit on the floor to work in small groups.
Some of the activities we do work best when we just gather on the floor.
