Help me give my students more of the books they already love! All of these books were selected because I have multiple students who I know enjoy that series, author, or style of book!
This diverse group of students in Shoreline (just north of Seattle) is working hard each day to grow and expand. They are curious and have strong bonds with each other. All 26 of them (the 5th and 6th graders) will be heading off to middle school next year and they are nervous and excited to take on that challenge.
This group of student loves to engage with real world experiences and explore things going on around them.
They have grown so much this year academically but also as a classroom community.
My Project
My students are an amazing gathering of interests, passions, and strengths. Their interest in books is equally diverse. I've noticed they love newer books in our library and have certain series, authors, and book styles that they gravitate towards. I selected all books that were published in the last few months that I know they will love. These shiny, brand new books will get them excited about reading, it also sends a powerful message to them that they are important and that others care about their reading growth and journey.
Thank you for your support of the burgeoning readers in our class!
