Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My class is a high ability, self-contained class of fourth graders. Our community is very diverse and lower middle class.

I teach a self-contained class of 26 high ability students. They LOVE a challenge and most love math. I hear the battle cry of "MORE MATH, PLEASE!" I love it, but feel that the parents already pay enough in book rental. I would like to use these daily math journal workbooks to grab my students' interest and push them to the next level.

We would use these books daily as part of our whole class instruction. It is definitely challenging! But, we love a challenge!!

I love to imagine these students as future scientists, mathematicians, teachers, ... Help me make it happen!!
