My students are amazing! They surprise me each and every day and keep me learning more for them. We seriously have some of the best students in our small-town elementary school.
My students are always ready to try something new, and because of that, I want to be a better teacher every day.
I want to grow with them! Our school is over sixty percent free or reduced price lunch, but together our community, parents and staff work to get us everything we need. I am so grateful to have wonderful people like you also partnering with us to help get our students everything they so deserve.
My Project
Every Friday and during indoor recess we have MakerSpace time. It is a magical time filled with creation, design, and engineering. I truly believe my students learn so much from this exploration time.
Our best learning happens when we least expect it!
The beads, colored hot glue, pipe cleaners, and masking tape will all be used for creation station. The window markers will be another option to add visual creations to our windows.
The UV lights will be used for the Breakout station where students can find clues to solve problems! The clay, Scrabble tiles, and fabric markers will be used for special projects during MakerSpace throughout the year.
Recently we had a black light party and my students loved it. The two black lights and the letter board will make our black light experience even better! The fidget balls and spiky bracelets will calm students at other times throughout the day when we are learning.
I know that these materials will be used to their fullest potential because my students have requested them! They keep adding to this list, but for now, this will meet our needs! I am so thankful to have a classroom of students who are constantly wanting to be better, create more, and design something new.
