My students need Leveled Readers K, L, M, N, O, and P to complete the set. Also, bins to house the materials would be greatly appreciated.

My Students
"Reading should not be presented to children as a chore or duty. It should be offered to them as a precious gift." Kate DiCamillo. The love of reading my students display is priceless. Your generosity will shower my students with new reading materials to last throughout the year!
Our school houses almost twelve hundred students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
We are an underfunded, Title I school, in an inner city, where many ethnicities come together to learn and explore while speaking over forty languages! The students in my second grade class are a diverse bunch! The majority of them speak English as a second language, while others receive learning support for different needs. Most of the students came to my class reading below grade level. They never experienced kindergarten and lack the resources at home to develop their abilities.
My Project
Studies show that the best way to teach kids to read is to pair them up with books that are at their instructional or independent reading level. A leveled book collection would be beneficial to my multi-leveled class. Emergent readers would be able to select just right text that have a larger font and clear spaces between words and lines, therefore making it easy for them to comprehend simple plots. As readers become more advanced, they will be able to select books with more complex plots and a wider range of vocabulary to express meaning.
This leveled library will allow me the necessary resources needed to promote literacy in my class.
Students will build their fluency and comprehension skills when they read books that are on their target level, allowing them to concentrate on comprehension instead of struggling in decoding unknown words. Students will succeed and become life long learners.
