Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Samsung Galaxy Tablet will allow me to take professional development and online training courses while utilizing the headphones to listen to videos on how to become a more successful teacher. During some of the workshops, I will take part in the online component where I have to watch several videos, as well as complete an online assessment. I will also be taking some reading endorsement classes during the summer and this tablet will greatly help. I will use this laptop to watch the online videos and take the assessments.
The knowledge and skills I gain from such training will improve the students' reading and writing skills.
A Samsung Galaxy Tablet will help me learn more innovative ways to reach my students. My students will benefit because I am staying up with the times. They appreciate me being able to stay in tune with them. I am always trying to learn something new, just like my students. This donation will not only help to improve my teaching style and active engagement strategies, but will also help my students to dig deeper in their learning. I am also requesting headphones for concentration when working in public spaces.
