Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school. Most of my students are on free or reduced meal plans. We have many EL students - over half my class being ELL students. Our students come from working families and families that speak other languages at home. Some parents are not able to communicate English with us but we do have Spanish speaking translators on site. Our staff is very caring and committed to providing a caring, nurturing and a fun and engaging classroom for all our diverse learners. My students love to learn and are excited to come to school everyday.

My Project

Every year I look for new ways to engage and make learning fun for my students. While still using our school curriculum, I also enjoy using other materials to supplement my students learning. Teachers Pay Teachers is a great resource for me. I can easily find materials and lessons to help reinforce what I have taught my students based on the required curriculum. This year I know I have a lot of catching up to do with my various learners. Having additional resources will make things a lot less stressful for me and my students. I am very excited for the school year and hope that this project gets funded. I know having this will make a difference for my students in a very positive way.
