I am a kindergarten teacher at a Title 1 school. Children love to read and show others their ability to read. We have had the opportunity to have leap pads in our room and be able to send some home for families to enjoy. They enjoy using them and love to take them home. I have a fellow teacher who has upgraded her leap pads with microphones. The kids love it! They love to hear themselves. She says they practice all the time and reread until it sounds fluent. I would love for my children to have that same opportunity and experience that same level of success and accomplishment.
