More Inclusive Prizes, Warm Drinks and Language Games in Class!
Help me give my students games and prizes for "Fun Fridays" and "Coffee Talks." I want to be more inclusive of students with food allergies when it comes to prizes, and we need more language-based games.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are all recently-arrived immigrants who are completing their high school education while also learning English. Most of them work while attending school, and some work more than 40 hours a week. Our school has no PTA or fundraising foundation to provide grants or special supplies to classrooms.
Games and prizes in class motivate my students to keep working towards their goals to speak more English, and I want to be more inclusive of our cultural and dietary differences.
When we play games like Uno or Guess Who? together, my students communicate across cultures and form new bonds. On cold winter days in Minnesota, we share warm drinks and chat. Many of them are often looking for a way to charge their phone while they store it during class. This new collection of games and prizes will offer more immeditae incentives to be in class and trying hard, even when it's difficult.
