Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our students are kindly requesting more flowers! Help me give my students the supplies they need for our plant unit and Earth Day project. They will study the life cycle of plants as they watch them grow! They will also participate in Earth Day activities. Earth Day, we will celebrate outside, and our students will receive a special treat. After reading books, students will complete a fun art activity to apply what they have learned. Students will learn about what plants need, the life cycle of plants, and why plants are important to all living things.

Earth Day is soon approaching and I would love for my students to learn and celebrate our Earth and how they can make a difference.

I have requested gardening gloves, gardening tools, seeds, and flowers for them to plant on their own. The students will each have their own plant pot with a saucer to add Miracle-Gro potting mix and the seeds so that they can be part of the beginning process of planting. The wagon will be a good help for loading and unloading. The snacks will be used for participation.
