My Project

I will be teaching a group of energetic and enthusiastic fifth graders this year. The students I teach are heading off to middle school at the end of the school year, and are craving more autonomy in an elementary classroom. The desk chairs will give students seating choices, quelling their cravings.

With flexible seating, students will gain choice in class, and will begin to learn where they learn and think best; a lifelong study skill.

Please help me to prepare students for middle school by giving them opportunities to make conscious decisions about their learning now.
