My Students

I teach an amazing group of 5th graders in Mobile, Al. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wide array of interests and abilities. I have an exciting, energetic group that loves to learn. They are full of school spirit and have a strong sense of community - in and out of the classroom.

Despite any hardships they face, my students come in everyday eager and ready to learn.

They are excited about school and want to learn so that one day they can be successful.

My Project

Flexible seating helps allow students to take control of their learning. With flexible seating, they would be able to choose a location that best suits them. I have noticed increased productivity in my students when they can select seating and an area that works best for them. Many of my students prefer to use a standing desk because they like to be able to move around; however, they need to option to sit down if they would like. The items I have selected will help provide them with additional seating options.

My students are less disruptive and more engaged with they are given a comfortable location to work.

The bar height stools will provide students with additional seating options for their standing desks. They are also lightweight and easy to move around the room.
