My Students

The students at our school are a diverse group of youngsters. We have a high rate of poverty in the area and unfortunately, we are a low-performing school. We are slowly showing improvement. I am proud to be able to teach the STEM/Computer Science elective classes and a Math class.

My Project

I want to give my students the opportunity to get a bit more comfortable in the classroom. We have a few picnic seats and a mobile desk that we got last year. The picnic seats will allow some students to sit on the ground when doing group work or individual work. The mobile laptop cart will allow a student to work standing up if they wish. It can also be used as a small mobile group station. The kids love the opportunity to use these. Some students come running to class to make sure they get the first choice of seating. We would like to get a few more.
