This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Sixth grade is such an exciting time for middle school students. I want my classroom to be able to help their many different learning styles and give them the freedom to sit where they learn best. So far we have high tables with bar stools where students are able to stand if they wish. Eight tables were donated through DonorsChoose with flexible seating to match! Students have the choice of regular chairs, stools, yoga balls, wobble stools, or low back chairs.
Please help our classroom become an even more enriching learning environment!
Students in my classroom are motivated to learn, and I would like to give them all the tools they need for their education. Some students spend half of their day in my classroom (three periods), and I would like to be able to give them a welcoming place to learn. Please help us continue the hard work that goes on in the room!
My Project
We had more money donated to our last project so I have decided to purchase some more books! Our last project was funded so fast that I feel the extra funds should also be spent on books for our library. Reaching AR goals can be difficult for some kids simply because they don't know WHAT to read, or what genre they enjoy.
I am hoping that by expanding our classroom library it will be less overwhelming for some of the students.
I have chosen two different book series for our library that students have shown interest in during previous years.
