Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an Multi Language Learner teacher it is essential to have my students engaged in interesting and engaging text to build interest and language with new emerging readers.
Learning to read requires many components unlocking the code of phonics, practice with high frequency words and most importantly developing a love of reading to reinforce these essential reading skills.
In this project I am requesting various Scholastic Branches chapter books to help support reading skills, which provide my learners with rich text. I am also requesting headphones for students to use when engaging with their ebooks on the computer and iPad. My final request is a phonics and high frequency workbook to provide students with practice to apply the many skills we practice during our literacy learning.
